Quick Wins: Qualitative Analysis of POU Water Filters
This post shows how an AI-enabled qualitative analysis workflow turns 36 focus-group transcripts into prioritized design and deployment decisions. Fast, rigorous synthesis of qualitative data can change a prototype’s fate: a June 24, 2026 PLOS ONE focus-group study of a plant-xylem point-of-use (POU) filter in Kashongi, Southwestern Uganda (n=36) found users aware of contaminated water, willing but concerned about cost (~US$11 device price), durability, and slow filtration.
