What ELLY Reveals: AI Thematic Analysis

AI thematic analysis can help public health researchers move from interview transcripts to a defensible account of how an intervention works. The ELLY study, published by PLOS One on November 5, 2026, shows why that matters: researchers evaluated a co-designed healthy weight and wellbeing intervention across two disadvantaged Scottish communities, then used qualitative interviews to identify pathways linking community participation with behaviour, diet, confidence, and social connection.
