How the study used Evidano
The researchers used thematic analysis (Braun and Clarke) on anonymized semi-structured interview transcripts.
Identify themes by research question. Anonymized transcripts were uploaded and Evidano was used to identify themes by research question in the initial stage.
Compare and confirm coding. AI-generated coding was compared with the researcher's own coding, then the data was rerun a second time to confirm quotes aligned with specific themes and sub-themes.
Human review and validation. All AI-generated content was reviewed, revised, and validated by the first author for accuracy, relevance, consistency, and alignment with the research objectives.
