Qualitative Analysis of Rapid Cycle Deliberate Practice in ECG
Rapid cycle deliberate practice (RCDP) training produced multilayered changes in how 13 cardiac critical care nurses noticed, interpreted, responded and reflected on ECG monitoring (published July 6, 2026). This qualitative analysis of rapid cycle deliberate practice shows shifts from fragmented parameter-watching to holistic pattern recognition and from hesitant reaction to confident proactive practice. Below we summarize the study, explain what it means for qualitative researchers and clinical educators, and show a concrete workflow for reproducing and scaling this analysis using a qualitative data platform.
